Reviewing the classic Super Solvers DOS and Windows PC game from 1993! Morty Maxwell, Master of Mischief, is up to his old tricks again, now with an army of robo-chimps and a plot to become head scientist of Shady Glen Technology Center. Collect parts and build vehicles! Plus: bananas.

  • I remember the puzzles, I remember those assembly lines, but id swear I never raced Morty. I was probably 5 when we got this, and its fully possible I never even knew there was more to the game than grinding gears and connecting wires. I moved on to day of the tenticle (or something like that) and was just as bad if not worse. Then I got Sega channel and ive barely touched PC games since. I do remember later being a master of some downhill skiing game with little yetis that would run after you and chips challenge.

  • I played this in elementary school almost everyday after i finished my lunch. I was not smart enough to know how to save so i would try to speed run the game to no avail, until I met my computer friend in 5th grade and he tought me how to burn cd's and i copied the game from school and took it home and beat it in 1 long self-fulfilling weekend. The puzzles are annoying after a while but i always loved how badly you whooped Monty if you got all of the best parts.

  • Literally not what I was expecting to see show up on my PLworld feed oh, this was one of my favorite games although I did not know it had a dos variant. And I discovered it almost the same way at somebody else's house we did have to do some investigating the track it down but then I played it fairly frequently. My top favorite was pipes though I don't know what it's officially called but you connect the pipes and hope you don't have no leaks countless revisions have sort of not come out recently although I think the train tycoon something another is a pretty good re-envisioning.

I've always looked forward to April because I LOVE your Edutainment Month stuff, Clint, but I totally get that shifting audiences and PLworld algorithms make it hard to continue. Your channel, and these videos especially have been a big inspiration, and I just wanted to say Thank You for a literal decade of fantastic Educational content each April. Ancient Empires starting with v1.01) www.mobygames.com/game/dos/super-solvers-challenge-of-the-ancient-empires I'd describe it as "La-Mulana for kids with some token edutainment" and it got only one CD-ROM re-release I'm aware of... the original DOS v1.01 on a combo CD named "Make the Grade, Vol. 4" from that period when Softkey owned TLC. www.mobygames.com/game/dos/make-the-grade-vol-4-ancient-empires-museum-madness/cover-art
